Handel II enjoyed tremendous success throughout his career with Michael Whitaker - together they accumulated over £300,000 in prize money with numerous major Grand Prix wins around the world, including taking 3rd place at the 2001 World Cup Final in Gothenburg.

He was the leading BSJA horse for two years in succession and in 2002 achieved unthinkable results at Stuttgart by winning both the Grand Prix and the Masters and in doing so picked up two top of the range Mercedes cars!

Handel II Handel II is by Wolfgang who has sired many approved sons and International Grand Prix and World Cup showjumpers, including Extreme, Frederic, Freedom, Whinny Jackson and World Champions at Lanaken, Illussion and Kigali. He is by the legendary Farn who has produced many top competition horses including the great sire Nimmerdor who was selected for the Olympics. Handel’s dam Clementine is by Ulft who is known around the world as a top sire of both dressage and jumping horses.

His youngstock are highly sought after and inherit both his extravagant movement and his formidable technique over a fence and are proving to be very successful in all disciplines. His showjumping progeny are highly competitive and have won at every level up to international Grand Prix & Nations Cup. Handel has also produced a number of Champion County level show horses as well as winning Dressage horses & advanced Eventers.

Successful progeny in 2009 include HOYS Foxhunter & Grade C Finalist Handel’s Kosmos and BEF Futurity Champion Handel’s Classic. (3yrs Showjumper).
