Spyder is something special. He has an excellent attitude to work, good looks, tremendous presence, extravagant movement and an amazingly relaxed temperament.

He has classic Irish Draught breeding going back to the great of Pride of Shaunlara.

His sire is the grade one life approved Registered Irish Draught stallion Young Prospect RID who was successfully NASTA performance tested, hunted and had BSJA winnings. He was brother to International event horse Blarney Badger & International Show Jumper Rathlin Star, as well as being a sire of numerous successful young event, show jumping and show horses. Young Prospect’s youngstock have been going from strength to strength: one has been accepted into the Whitakers’ show jumping yard, another is heading for HOYS and a number have snapped up supreme championships recently. In addition, HM the Queen has repeatedly used Young Prospect for covering mares.

Spyder’s dam Ashill Silver Lady Rid is by the RID stallion Fast Silver and is sister to successful showjumpers Rockbarton Silver and Silver come Fast. Spyder was the first foal for this young mare who was purchased in Ireland and brought over to England to become a foundation mare.

His bloodlines would be an asset to the purebred enthusiast whilst his bone and temperament would compliment Thoroughbred and partbred mares producing progeny to excel in all competitive spheres.

Spyder has been shown lightly in hand and has very consistent placings. He was awarded a first premium at the BEF Futurity`s in 2009 in the Eventing section with a score of 8.04
