This Stunning Perlino stallion is a branded Warmblood, imported from the Czech Republic as a yearling.
Although unusual in appearance, the genetic makeup of Falko’s colour ‘PERLINO’ (which is very closely linked with ‘CREMELLO’) means he is homozygous for throwing dilute colour foals, which means when bred to any plain coloured mares he can only sire palomino, buckskin/dun, or smoky black foals. Unless Falko is bred to another dilute coloured mare, he will never reproduce his own colour or blue eyes, which are characteristic only of the homozygous dilution gene.

Since being imported as a yearling, Falko has stood at stud both in Ireland and the United Kingdom. He has proved himself as having an exceptional jump, the natural outline, rhythm and balance required for dressage so should produce excellent event type offspring. He is also a marvellous hunter, having hunted in Ireland and more recently here in Cornwall proving, bold, careful and very well mannered.

Falko’s temperament is second to none; he is kind and sensible on all occasions. He is very gentle when covering, and has proved himself with many difficult, shy or maiden mares. Falko is a versatile stallion being a good cross on many different types. He has already produced some very eye catching and correct foals including sports prospects, potential jumping ponies, hunters, and a truly beautiful palomino and white traditional cob colt, when crossed with a heavy coloured mare. Already this year Falko has served a wide range of mares from a 14hh cob to an 18.2hh pure bred Shire mare! |
