Stallion profile

Othello is by our stallion Wessel (Feitse 293 Ster Pref x Weitske D Model), out of our friesian mare Anke (by Bjinse 241), he is 3 yrs old so this will be his first season at stud, hence the low stud fee - it will go up as he gets older. The picture above was taken last summer as a 2yr old - as you can see he looks very promising!
We are limiting him to 4 mares only this year they must be proven mares and quiet natured, we have 3 places left so book early to avoid disapointment!
Othello is a very sweet natured little man - he is 15.1Hh at the moment we expect him to make 15.3Hh (they don`t stop growing till they are 8yrs old). He is showing a willingness to work - obviously he is still a youngster so we wouldn`t think of backing him till the end of this year begining of next, but we have started to do in hand work with him which he is enjoying! He has certainly got the hair gene from both parents - his mane is rather long already! He has very nice compact conformation just like both parents and will be a stunner when he has finished growing and beefed up and he has a lovely action.
We have high hopes for Othello and are very pleased with him, we hope he will pass on his characteristics just like his sire does.
