Ragazzo is approved by 13 studbooks across Europe. He is a well known producer of top quality dressage and show-jumping competition horses.
Ragazzo is a stallion with amenable character, outstanding temperament, great charisma and a most positive approach to everything he is asked to do.
Ragazzo has an enviable pedigree coming from one of the most prominent maternal lines in Germany.
His mother, Pirola (by Pik Koenig), is a full sister to Pik Bube I and II. She is also the Dam of Donnerschlag.
Ragazzo`s father Raphael is one of Ramiro Z`s most successful sons and needs no further presentation.
Ragazzo is suitable for any diciplines; he has proved himself to produce top quality Show Jumpers as well as Dressage horses with quality conformation, fantastic temperament and charisma.
He would also suit TB mares to produce horses that can meet the Eventing standard of today.
Ragazzo has shown very good fertility rate; 85.7% of the mares inseminated with fresh semen conceived in the first cycle 2006 and 93.3% of the mares inseminated with fresh semen conceived 2007.

Ragazzo won a superior win at stallion performance test in Neustadt-Dosse, Germany in 1994, receiving the highest score of 10 for conformation, character, temperament, willingness to
perform, rideability and canter.
In 1996 Ragazzo became `Champion of the Future` at the German Stallion Championships.
In Denmark he received also the highest evaluation of his temperament with the second-highest evaluation ever given.
Ragazzo is educated to Grand Prix level in Dressage and has many wins up to Intermediate I, among them the Nations Cup in Helsinki. Unfortunately an injury put an end to his competition career.

Ragazzo`s progeny speaks for themselves - here are a few:
Rubidoux won his stallion grading in Rheinland/Pfalz
Ratino won his stallion grading as a 3 year old in Stadl Paura and also the `Österreichischen Freispringchampionates` as a 4 year old.
Rossini Grande (winner), Montignay de Vernay and Uno Ragazzo (placed 3rd) has participated in the Young Horse World Championships representing Germany, France and Belgium.
His daughter, Rosenstolz, won the mare classifications at Baden-Württemberg and another daughter, Rayana Chiara, (Int. GP Showjumper) was sold as a 4 year old for €92 000 at the Elite auction in Verden. Raoul, graded stallion, won Breeder`s Trophy for 6 year olds in Norway, Kawo`s Rocky is qualified for the Paralympic Games in Beijing 2008. Sandman (KWPN), Ratzo (DWB), Rickolt (DWB), Rialto Allegro (Germany), Riccitelli (Germany), Ronja 810 (Westf.), Ravel (BWP) and Ramazotti (USA) are other examples of successful International competition horses by Ragazzo.
Ragazzo is also the Grand Sire to ‘Moses’, the winner of the 4 Year Old Mares & Geldings Class at the Bundeschampionat at Warendorf in 2006.
His first foals produced in UK was born 2007 but a handful older offspring had already been imported:
Brooks Rondeau claimed the Badminton Young Dressage Horse of the Future title 2002
Revival V (AES graded stallion), who has been accredited as a Silver BSJA Stallion
DHI Wohler, is selected with rider, Mary Sharman, for the BEF World Class Dressage Equine Pathway programme
Razzle Dazzle, born 2007, gained First Premium Diploma and Reserve Champion at the BEF Futurity Young Horse Evaluations |
