`Mighty` is available to selected outside mares in 2009. Based upon an evaluation of conformation, in-hand presentation, loose schooling on the flat and over jumps, ridden performance, and progeny performance (BEF First Premium), he was awarded Life Approval status with the Sports Pony Studbook Society. As would be expected from a County Show winner, he has great paces and show presence. In 2009 he will focus on dressage and showing, with a view towards eventing and M&M working hunter classes in the future. Mighty will also be shown in harness.
Mighty comes from a family of champions. Sadly his sire died before being able to compete to his full potential, but he was well known in Suffolk for winning M&M Working Hunter classes. His dam Daichristu Ace of Hearts produces great foals, every one a winner in hand or under saddle at County level. Daichristu Ace of Hearts went back to the show ring in 2007, starting the year with a win at the UNEX Towerlands Welsh Medal Show, and continuing under saddle with wins and a 3rd place at the Royal Welsh Show.
Fertility testing has proven his semen quality to be excellent. In 2009 we will work with Zoe Arrowsmith, equine reproduction technician, to ensure top quality fresh and frozen semen is available worldwide.

Numerous in-hand wins and placings as a yearling, two- and three-year old at local shows including the South Suffolk, Hadleigh, WPCS Medal shows, etc. Mighty was not shown in 2007 due to focus on expanding the stud and showing his first colt (pictured right). 2008 also sees a reduction in competitions due to rising fuel and feed costs but he is having very successful outings locally. He was outstanding at the SPSS Stallion Grading, taking his first overnight outing and a very busy atmosphere in his stride.

Watermeadow Torchbearer, out of a SHB(GB) Head Studbook Thoroughbred mare, was born in 2007. He scored a First Premium and was best in his class at the BEF Futurity Grading at Grantham. `Bright` is the star of the video clip listed above. Judges love him; the vet awarded him a `9` for correct conformation and potential to stay sound through a competitive career. He will certainly make 15.2h+.
Watermeadow Chief, out of Fronarth May Queen (Welsh D), was born 22 May `08. He has an outstanding personality and uphill paces. Congratulations and good luck to his purchaser in Cheshire. |
