Aries was trained in Haute Ecole in Greece before being imported to the UK. He has competed in dressage, always placing and scoring over 65% on avarage.
Due to rider injury, Aries has not recently attended competitions. However, he was selected to be used in a Multi-million pound film called Arn (www.arnmovie.com) and was used as the lead actor`s horse. He took to the role and film set like a duck to water, and he will hopefully be selected to be used in more films in the future.
Aries was used as a stunt double in April 2008 for a Dutch production of `Letter for the King` where he was filmed by helicopter galloping around Glencoe. He behaved beautifully and the film company was really pleased with his performance.
Aries exceptional temperament has allowed me to teach my complete novice boyfriend to ride on him - he is now happily cantering around the countrydide. Aries hacks out happily with mares, geldings and our other stallions. He is stabled on a mixed yard.
Aries field adjoins the Shetland teaser stallion`s paddock, and Aries can regularly be seen grooming the Shetland`s (Tom) back, while Tom tries to bite Arie`s knees off through the fence!
Aries runs with our own mares, even with foals at foot, and is a perfect gent. |

Aries had one foal in 2007 on 17th May out of an ISH mare. The stunning filly, Elvingston Alethia,l is an excellent example of a modern sports horse, boasting excellent conformation, elastic movement and a wonderful temperament. She is very intelligent and easy to work with. She has been sold to a lovely family in Aberdeen to eventually take up a career in dressage. She has been successful in youngtock in-hand classes throughout 2008.
Aries foals from 2008 have proved laid back and loving, just like their dad, and have inhereited Aries` fantastic temperament, movement and presence.
We will have our own small crop of 2009 foals from carefully selected mares by Aries, some of which will be for sale. Please contact us if you are interested in one of these sought after foals. |
